Torglen is a modern fully equipped self-catering property with extensive and attractively laid out gardens/grounds. The house is situated between the beautiful village of Tayvallich and Carsaig Bay, which are both within a few minutes walk and ideal for enjoying this tranquil location having many excellent walks, cycling and nature trails, historic sights, and visitor attractions virtually on its doorstep.

The village boasts the popular Tayvallich Inn with its specialist sea food menu and has a local shop/tea room providing essentials for most holiday makers. A supermarket is located within Lochgilphead approximately 12 miles away.

Torglen ExteriorThe village also offers a good variety of events throughout the year including Ceilidhs, Regatta, Sports Day and artistic events held within the village hall. Tayvallich is well placed for exploring the surrounding areas including Crinan Canal, Kilmarton Glen including the ancient capital of Scotland Dunadd and the wider areas of Knapdale, Oban and Kintyre. The house itself has an attractive layout with lounge incorporating wood burning stove, modern fitted kitchen/dining room with rear vestibule and WC. Situated off the lounge is a conservatory/morning room with French Doors to the rear garden, ideal for relaxing in.

At first floor level there are three bedrooms (2 double and one twin) together with bathroom incorporating bath/fitted electric shower. All bedrooms include both wardrobe and cupboard space.

The majority of the facilities within the house are new, including electric storage heaters, electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge (5 ft) freezer (2ft 9in), microwave, payphone, TV, video, DVD and CD players. There are a number of books, games, maps, videos/DVDs and CDs together with BBQ equipment for guests to use. A cot and high chair is also available for use.

The garden extends to just under one acre, and attracts many feeding birds and wild flowers native to the area, including bluebells, rhododendrons, wild orchids, wild violas, lilies and heathers. A pond is located within the front garden area which attracts Newts and frogs. The garden is totally enclosed and is ideal for young children/pets etc and allows views to the Sound of Jura and the Isle of Jura beyond. A number of seats and picnic benches are strategically located throughout, to enjoy the most out of the garden. Parking is also available within the grounds and partial use of the garage will be allowed.

Pets are welcome, however non-smokers only. All wood, coal, electricity, kitchen items , linen, towels etc are included.

Bookings available on a weekly basis from 3pm on Saturdays and guests are required to leave by 10am on the following Saturday although flexibility can easily be incorporated depending on availability. Prices for 2006/7 inclusive of all electricity, wood, coal, linen, towels etc are as follows:
